Before introducing changes the supplier shall inform OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in writing, at least 9 months before the change is initiated. The notification, Product Change Notification (PCN), shall describe the planned changes in detail and shall include the documentation of the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and re-qualification or first-article evaluation. The planned change shall not be introduced in case written objection is provided by OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. If considered necessary, the modifications to the product and relevant changes in the process chain must be released by OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in the course of a first-article evaluation.

Should the Supplier plan to discontinue the supply of products covered under the agreement, the Supplier shall inform OSRAM Opto Semiconductors of this in writing with advance notice of at least 18 months prior to the planned discontinuation. The placement of new orders shall be possible until four months before the planned discontinuation.
