Product/Process Change Notification (PCN) is executed at any change that impacts.

• fit (i.e.: external dimensions and associated tolerances)
• form (i.e.: visual appearance, color, marking, surface)
• function (i.e.: electrical, mechanical, thermal, optical)
• reliability (i.e.: probability of continued operation over time)

This means that every customer remains informed about the project status at all times. The product is only ever supplied once it has customer approval. According to Standard: JEDEC Std No. 46 "Customer Notification of product/process changes by Semiconductor Suppliers".
