The Platinum DRAGON is the brightest single chip LED from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors so far. The high performance is possible thanks to the latest chip technology Thinfilm/ThinGaN. Furthermore it is characterized by a high maximum forward current of up to 1A.

Design meets flexibility

The Platinum DRAGON has a slim design, which is possible due to the flat package with a height of only 1.8 mm. The flexibility of the package has also been increased due to solder pad compatibility with Golden DRAGON.

The development of an improved thermal connection between the chip and the package and the excellent package design enables optimum heat dissipation. Compared with Golden DRAGON, thermal resistance has been reduced by 60%. These factors ensure a long lifetime and high reliability.
