RS Components and OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH announce a sales partnership agreement as part of the lighting semiconductor specialists' new Internet Light Shop initiative

And OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Inc., one of the worldwide leaders in light-emitting diode (LED) technology today announced a sales partnership agreement throughoutEurope and Asia Pacificeffective April 1, 2007 as part of the lighting semiconductor specialists` new Internet Light Shop initiative.This agreement involves the distribution of OSRAM’s LED families, infra-red components, high-powered laser diodes, OLED displays and a wide range of LED displays for indoor and outdoor applications. The Light Shop is intended for potential customers such as developers, architects, lighting planners, universities and individuals who only want to buy small quantities of these products.

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors focuses its product offering on current growing markets such as general illumination, projection, LCD display backlighting, automotive interior and exterior lighting, and mobile communications with organic and classic light emitting diodes used as innovative light sources together with its specific strengths in Sensing and Infrared product market.
