OSRAM Opto Semiconductors wins "Best Electronics Design" for 2008

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors wins an award from Electronic Design Magazine for achieving new records for brightness and efficiency of white LED prototypes using 1-mm² chip. The “Best Electronic Design” award recognizes technologies that are most significant to advancing electronic design and honors some of the outstanding end-product designs produced in the last year.

OSRAM’s success in achieving record brightness is due to advances in materials and LED technology that result in the combination of optimized chip technology, an efficient light converter, and a special high-performance package.
