Atmospheric light at the Wine- and Culture Festival in Regensburg

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors has created an exceptional atmosphere at the Wine- and Culture Festival from 25th to 27th July in the municipal park in Regensburg. Trees were lightened with OSRAM LED High Power Washers, where Golden DRAGON LEDs generated an atmospheric light all over the festival area.

The High Power Washers for the Wine- and Culture Festival were produced by OSRAM and by the Regensburg-based lighting designers LI-EX. They are robust and optimally adapted for a huge spectrum of architecture applications. Red, green and blue (RGB) LEDs allow a variety of color mixing possibilities for dynamic light and individual lighting moods.

Each High Power Washer contains 30 Golden DRAGON LEDs (10 red, 10 green and 10 blue) and can be controlled with a DALI EASY remote control. It is possible to set up four light scenarios. Up to 30 units can be connected with only one cable. The High Power Washers can be assembled on the bottom, walls or ceilings.

Golden DRAGON LEDs are exceptionally bright and are therefore becoming established as the light sources of choice for atmospheric architectural lighting. Thanks to the new thin-film chip technology from OSRAM, the LEDs are now even brighter than ever before because almost all of the light generated in the semiconductor chip is emitted at the top. This takes lighting installations such as this to new levels of brightness, bathing even large imposing buildings in intensive light.

However, the Golden DRAGON LEDs were not only chosen because of their brightness, but also because of their rich vivid colors and their long lifetime of up to 100,000 hours. Therefore the maintenance costs are especially low. As a further advantage, they are small and use little energy.
