The Winners

Our research team led by Dr. Klaus Streubel and Dr. Stefan Illek was awarded the German Future Prize 2007 by German Federal President Horst Köhler.

The project

Under the motto "Crystal Light – Light Emitting Diodes shape our daily lives", OSRAM Opto Semiconductors together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering in Jena, Germany, developed an exceptionally powerful LED light source.
