Hello! My name is Christina Schön and I am 17 years old.

After passing my school leaving exams at 16, I stumbled across an Internet application at Siemens for OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. Since then I have been doing my apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician. It is made up of three elements: vocational college, practical work experience and SPE (Siemens Professional Education).

I attend the vocational college for blocks of lessons where I am taught the theoretical side of my job. I learn the practical side at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, where I can find out more about the various departments and get a picture of my future activities. In the SPE I take part in various mechatronics courses to get into greater detail and exchange experiences with other people.

Things I particularly appreciate about my apprenticeship at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors are the friendly working atmosphere, the varied tasks and the fact that I get really good training.
