High-flux LED R&D prototype: Warm white light, high efficiency, true colors

An LED that offers high efficiency, good color rendering and a pleasant warm white light has now been developed in the labs. The prototype offers three important properties, all together essential for general illumination applications.

Small, digital and extremely economical

The new ambient light sensor with a digital I²C output detects ambient brightness in the same way as the human eye, and is the only sensor on the market that offers not only standard data rates but also high speed rates of up to 3.4 MHz.

Super low-profile OLED developed in research project

The OLED prototypes are large transparent light sources only a few hundred micrometers thick. Thanks to new technology these organic light emitting diodes do not need separate encapsulation and can be made incredibly thin in any layout.

Double the power in a compact package

With its high optical output (1 W from a driving current of 1 A) from a small surface area the infrared Platinum DRAGON is ideal for lighting solutions where space is an important factor.
